What is an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)?

An individualized education plan is a plan of coordinated actions established jointly by the people involved.

Its purpose is to help a student who, because of a handicap or difficulties, needs adapted interventions in order to progress optimally in developing the competencies required for success.

The IEP is a legal document which permits adaptations and/or modifications to the QEP to be incorporated into the student’s learning and evaluation activities.

It is part of a dynamic support process that takes place to support the educational success of the student and occurs with the participation of the parents, the student and the school team.
