To honour Holocaust Remembrance Day, we welcomed Naomi Kramer along with Gedenkdieners Philip Makotschnig and Philipp Jandl—Holocaust memorial service volunteers from the Holocaust Education Center—to speak with our Grade 6 Immersion classes about misinformation and disinformation.

This meaningful experience provided an opportunity to remember those who were lost to the atrocities of the Holocaust, to reflect on these historical events, and to deepen our understanding so that such horrors may never be repeated.

We were also honoured to welcome child survivor and stone sculptor Esther Topaz, who shared her powerful story of being born in a concentration camp during the Holocaust. Her resounding message emphasized the importance of protecting our children and safeguarding humanity for future generations.
