It’s hard to believe another school year is already coming to a close! Warmest congratulations to all our graduates—your hard work, resilience, and growth have led you here, and we wish you all the best as you take your next steps, wherever they may lead. To our wonderful Grade 6 students: high school is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see all that you’ll accomplish.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents and families who supported our schools and centres this year—your presence, involvement, and care mean so much. Wishing everyone a summer filled with rest, laughter, and joyful moments. See you next school year! Stay tuned for more information—you can always visit our website to stay up to date on what’s going on.
Congratulations to the Student Advisory Committee

A big bravo to the members of the Student Advisory Committee 2024-2025 for their hard work and dedication to this year’s special project—a powerful presentation on addiction delivered to Secondary I and II students.
You did a fantastic job, and your efforts were truly impressive! The committee came together with honesty and courage to speak about a range of important topics: addiction in its many forms, vaping, social media, peer pressure, and more.
In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to remember that you can say no, stay true to yourself, and make choices that reflect who you really are. And who better to speak to students than students themselves? Thank you for your honesty, your strength, and your commitment to making a difference. Great work—we’re proud of you!
Cobalt SMS Notifications Reminder

All data in the Cobalt application (emails, phone numbers, schools, etc.) will be deleted on June 30, 2025. This annual reset ensures that information stays current, avoids unwanted messages, and reflects the right school for each student—especially for those moving to high school or graduating from Secondary 5. In August, you’ll receive a new code to register for the 2025–2026 school year. Good news: you’ll now receive a confirmation message once your registration is complete. Thank you!

QESBA Urgent Appeal

This goes beyond language—it’s about preserving democratic governance in education, ensuring that families have a voice in where and how their children are educated. English school boards remain the only publicly elected bodies still directly accountable to their communities.
Their fight is not just for minority rights, but for the principle that parents and communities should have a say in their children’s future.

Do you know who your school board commissioners are?

We first introduced you to our commissioners when the new Council took office following the elections — but here’s a quick reminder of the important role they play!
Commissioners represent your voice. They are elected to ensure that our schools reflect the needs and values of our communities, making decisions that shape the direction of public education at Riverside.
You may want to reach out to your commissioner — whether it’s to share ideas, ask questions, or simply learn more about your ward. Visit our website to find out who represents your area and how to contact them!
Important reminder: For any administrative questions or concerns (such as registration, transportation, report cards, schedules, or school-specific matters), please contact the school or centre directly. Commissioners do not handle day-to-day administrative issues.
