School Transportation Communication
We recognize that school transportation plays an important role in many families’ daily routines. While we provide this service to support student access to school, it is important for families to always have a Plan B in place.
We also understand the challenges that can arise when transportation is affected by service interruptions or delays. Unfortunately, many transportation providers have very limited access to additional or replacement bus drivers, which can make last-minute service disruptions difficult to resolve. Although transportation services are provided by external partners, we work in close collaboration with them to support the availability of routes for students who need transportation.
Since the beginning of the school year, we have been working to strengthen transportation services and are continuing to work toward reliable solutions for our students
Here are a few key actions taken to address transportations service issues since the electric buses situation in September, which resulted in several routes being unable to operate.
- In-person meetings with transporters to discuss on-going issues. (Driver shortage was a major issue.)
- Consulted with Legal, reviewed of contract, and brought the matter to Council.
- Change of transportation company.
- Notice to transporters who did not meet required standards, regulations, or rules as well as the use of the MTransport tablet.
- Closely monitor routes with the MTransport app.
- Explored alternative transportation for parents, as service breaches became a daily issue. Transportation Services have worked diligently to find solutions to minimize the impact on families.
While the service is not optimal, we have dedicated extensive time and resources—through monitoring, parent communications, legal consultations, and exploring alternative solutions—to address the challenges and continue working diligently to improve transportation for families.

Clic École
The Ministère de l’Éducation is gradually rolling out Clic école, a new mobile application that provides access to the Mozaïk Portal. We are pleased to inform you that the application will be available for download as of March 16, 2026.
Simple, secure, and convenient, Clic école will allow you to monitor your child’s schooling directly from your mobile device, in addition to accessing the portal online. This application will replace the current MParent mobile application, which some families may be using.
What you can do with Clic école
With the Clic école application, you will be able to:
- Notify the school of an upcoming absence and view your child’s history of absences and late arrivals
- Quickly access official documents intended for you, such as report cards, tax slips, and statements of account
Please note that additional features may be added over time as the system continues to be updated.
Next Steps
We will send a reminder once the mobile application is ready for use and provide further instructions.
