FOR HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS:
We would like to remind families and students about the importance of hallway safety at school.
We have had injuries and many close calls as a result of students running in the hallways. Our priority is to ensure that all students and staff can move safely throughout the building. For this reason, we are reinforcing a clear expectation that students must always walk in the hallways.
Effective immediately, the following consequences will be in place for students who are caught running in the hallways:
- First occurrence: Automatic in-school suspension (ISS)
- Second occurrence: Two days of ISS
- Third occurrence: Three days of ISS
Consequences will continue to escalate if needed.
These expectations and consequences have been communicated clearly to students. We ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of safe behaviour at school.
Thank you for helping us keep our school safe for everyone.
