Students in two Grade 5 classes at St. Lawrence School recently had the opportunity to help plant a new “Food Forest” in the Peace Garden in our schoolyard. In addition to the garden boxes that hold a traditional garden, this new « Food Forest » is made up of trees, shrubs, perennial plants, and flowers – all of which are edible and will bloom at different moments during the year.
We are excited to see our garden project grow and look forward to the possibilities!
