St. Johns School: School day starts at 11:10 a.m. for students

As you have heard in the media, all our unionized employees will be on strike next Monday, November 6 until 10:30 a.m.  Your child’s school day will start at 11:10 a.m. 

Here is important information for that day:

CANCELLED SERVICES

• There will be no bus service in the morning.
• There will be no Daycare service in the morning.
• There will be no cafeteria food services all day. Each student should bring a lunch from home on Monday.

ARRIVAL OF STUDENTS

• Arrival of students between 10:50 a.m. and 11:05 a.m.
• Students must use doors 1, 2, 3, and 9 as usual.
• Upon arrival, students must report to their assigned classroom as attendance will be taken. High school students must report to their respective “W.I.N base location”.
• IMPORTANT: There will be a high volume of traffic on Saint-Michel Street during the arrival of our students.  Please be patient and extra cautious to help make this unique day safe for all.

AS OF 11:15 A.M.

• All activities resume as normal.
• K4 and K5 classes: lunch time in classrooms.
• Elementary lunch period: either outside or in the cafeteria, as per the usual schedule.
• High school recess and transition to Period 4.

AFTERNOON

• Please note that we are asking our teachers not to plan evaluations and to be mindful not to teach new material.
• Daycare and bus service will be offered after school. 

If there is any new information that you should be made aware of, we
will share it with you promptly.  Please continue to verify your emails regularly.
