More than 1,000 thoughtfully prepared gift bags are helping give our youngest learners a warm and reassuring start as they prepare to enter Kindergarten.

This meaningful project brought together students from Venture+, alongside Tamarah Banks, and students from Reach School with their teacher Marguerite McLellan. Together, they created welcoming gifts that will be given to 4-and 5-year-old kindergarten students during their first school visit, helping build an early sense of belonging for both children and their families.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of dedicated community partners Kareen Massé (MEPEC), Christine Prince (ARC), and Tonya Wright (MWCN), whose support highlights the power of strong community connections in fostering a positive transition to school.

A very special thank you to Profecta/Fortis for generously donating the bags and the beautiful stickers used to identify them. Their contribution truly made this project come to life.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Kerrie Bremner, Sana Diwan, Tracy Taylor, and Valérie Dubuc for their invaluable support, as well as to the many resource teachers and school administrators who helped distribute the bags across our schools.

A true team effort and a wonderful success!
