During the month of March, Nutrition month, St. Lawrence school launched a project entitled “Les supers-collations à l’école”. This project was made possible thanks to a grant from Prix Fondation Desjardins Foundation and the support of the Ecollation program.

Twice a week, every student in the St-Raymond pavilion received a fresh fruit or vegetable for morning snack! Prepared by the students in one of our grade 5 classes, the project encouraged responsibility, a sense of belonging, and healthy eating habits. Younger students were encouraged to try a wide variety of fresh produce, feel more comfortable trying new foods, and learn about composting and waste reduction.
