The recent and sustained increase in Covid-19 cases is a sure indication that variants have reached our
region.
Public health measures, therefore, need to be enhanced to limit the spread of the virus in our schools and
childcare facilities.
Isolating family members if your child has been in contact with a Covid-19 case
Effective immediately, if your child has been in contact with a Covid-19 case, whether or not it is a variant,
your child must be isolated and tested and all members of your family (all those living under the same roof) must self-isolate while waiting for your child’s test result. If the test is negative, the rest of the family may resume regular activities. However, your child must remain in confinement and follow public health instructions.
