On Saturday, May 4th, with nearly 800 people in attendance at the Michel-Normandin arena, the City of Brossard hosted its Gala de l’action bénévole – an annual event that recognizes volunteers who generously give of their time and energy to help our community thrive.

During this memorable evening, Mayor Doreen Assaad and the City’s team of elected municipal officials saluted everyone’s contributions and honoured 8 volunteers and organizations for their exceptional dedication and commitment, including 3 Harold Napper parents:

Steve Ranco (l’Association de Baseball Mineur de Brossard) was awarded the Emerging Volunteer prize for his commitment to not only keeping baseball, but growing the sport in Brossard.

Irene Costamis and Andrea Borodenko were each awarded an Engaged Citizen prize for their years of dedicated service, impactful leadership and mentorship on Harold Napper’s Parent Participation Organization (PPO).

Addressing the audience, Mayor Assaad said, “In you, we see the beating heart of our city. Each of your actions reveals your crucial role, weaving the bonds that strengthen our social fabric. Together, we can build a thriving future for Brossard.

Congratulations, Steve, Irene and Andrea!
